The latest edition of sQueeze has a full-page article about Pay TV, a.k.a. Swedish Eurovision Galore (check out “Refrain Refrain”!). Turns out Håkan Lidbo, who played an awesome live gig at 10 Days Off last year, is behind the concept. Everything is intertwined.

I’m still not sure what exactly is happening to FeedMe, but the problems seem largely fixed by removing the superfluous XML declaration—forcibly. The output still doesn’t look that great, but for those of you who are interested, the vrtnieuws.net feed is back.

I added a hidden skin that allows you to make my site bigger, but I’m not telling you how to use it. It’s the third and final easter egg. It should be really easy to find if you found any of the other two.

I’m fairly satisfied with inkClub’s service. The three (genuine) Epson color cartridges I ordered last weekend arrived today, so only 4 to 5 days later. They’d been stuffed in an—albeit sturdy rubberish—envelope, so the cardboard boxes they come in had been damaged, but who cares, really? Add to that the fact that I didn’t have to walk all the way to the store—which has less competitive prices to begin with—and you can see why I’ll probably be ordering from them again. And they sure want me to, since the invoice came with a sticker displaying my login, to put on my printer. Let’s not go that far, but still … Go, Sweden.

Apple zealot on Dashboard Widgets: “It’s pretty pointless to state that Apple stole the idea from Konfabulator,” Schoors added. “Apple just picks up general ideas and takes them to a whole other level.”. God, I wish they’d cram it.

I’ve told a couple people already but, honestly, I’m getting old. Last Sunday, at about 6 in the morning, I was walking from Gent Zuid to the Korenmarkt, past the St.-Baafskathedraal, and for a brief moment, I found myself looking up at the beautiful job they’ve done lighting the cathedral in a warm sort of yellow against a backdrop of deep blue near-morning sky. I don’t know what came over me but rest assured, I have never done that before. Next thing you know, I’ll be eating mashed corn and watching Wheel of Fortune. Hmm, I do that already.

What’s the deal with guys taking their coat off to cover a puddle, so their girlfriend can walk over it? How is that romantic? If my boyfriend ruined a perfectly good jacket by doing that, I’d be pretty mad at him. Of course, I don’t actually have a boyfriend. And I’m no straight girl either.

I’ve just added a highly annoying second easter egg to this web site. That means your chances of finding one have doubled. If you couldn’t be bothered to look before, you’re no fun, but still, have a go, please.
I have a good mind to skip class tomorrow. We’re getting a dictation in French, but come on.

For some reason, I’ve added a new skin to this site.

Since I started serving my site as application/xhtml+xml, Google hasn’t been indexing it very well. Apparently, it only likes text/html. You’d think they would have implemented support for both MIME types at some point. Wrong. Anyway, like IE, Googlebot will receive text/html content from now on. My listings should start catching up in a few days.
