Since Blogger is being a total whore and refusing to publish altogether, I might as well type this post now so I can bite my nails until it finally decides to publish. To make matters worse, I’m afraid I have to bring up my blog search engine again, since it now supports both “any” and “all” queries; also, I’ve taken the liberty of giving it a pretty, more comprehensive URL.
I did some SQL exercises today, since I have a test coming up next week. Yeah, they still have those in higher education.
Now, I wasn’t going to bring this up at first, but what the heck. When I moved all my stuff into this new room a while ago, I was supposed to have a new desk, delivered by these guys. Two months later, I’m still sitting at my old desk, having cleared it twice—once to change rooms and once because they’d said with 100% certainty that it would be delivered yesterday, along with my mom’s new closet. As it turned out, they only brought the closet, which, to add to the fun, had the wrong doors. They claimed they’d deliver my desk next week; no word on the right doors for the closet. I think it makes little difference. I doubt I’ll be at my new desk next week. I’ll probably have cleared it yet again in vain though. The good news is, the manager spontaneously suggested we get the—albeit expensive—desk for free. It has to be said though, I did my share of shouting while he was here and, for all I care, he might as well have kept the damn thing now if it weren’t free.
