Among other things, I bought a cordless phone today, since our old, corded one was acting up. You’d think buying a basic model like that wouldn’t cause any trouble, so after letting it charge for over 7 hours, I just plugged it in downstairs, only to find out the radio waves cause interference on our answering machine, producing an uninterrupted dead-annoying humming. The good news is the humming only occurs when the units are really close to eachother, the bad news is the shelf they’re on isn’t nearly wide enough to prevent it. For now, I put the old phone back and replaced the even crappier one we had upstairs with the cordless one. I’ll look into it tomorrow, but as it stands, I think I’m either going to end up getting a new corded phone or a new answering machine. Either way, I’d be replacing a rubbish component.
Some of the other stuff I bought includes a really hip Ben Sherman tee, Garnier Fructis Style Hard Glue hair gel—I use tons of the stuff—, a design metal ruler and finally several miscellaneous items I’m not authorized to disclose. Don’t worry: if they were dildos, I’d have told you already.
