This sure was an eventful Day Off. After careful consideration, I decided to go to the ICC for the M_nus label night and hence pass on the best of Get Physical Music at Vooruit. I do regret missing Booka Shade, but I didn’t want to miss out on Richie Hawtin, but as it turns out, I did after all. I caught the last half hour of Troy Pierce’s set, which had a nice groove. Then came Magda, who, to my best knowledge, played her best set ever. Matthew Dear then kicked off a pretty nice live gig, but at that time, a got a text message from a friend of mine who was there too, saying that he was feeling sick. Consequently, I stayed with him for the rest of the night, since the guy he was there with had bailed on him. I may not be the most polite or politically correct person in the world, but I do like to believe I have some decency and common sense in me, so that guy’s actions boggle me. Anyway, I’m glad I could help.
