And that wraps up another Day Off. Down Jones didn’t seem to care about buildup or proper mixes very much, but I guess he was adequate as a warmup. I checked out 4T4 for a couple of minutes too, and approved. Annie totally rocked, but there should be repercussions for playing for well less than an hour. Todd Terje had a nice minimal groove going, but then, for some reason, rather abruptly switched to house and even soul, so I took off and enjoyed Jazzanova for a while. By then, it was time for Layo & Bushwacka!, but the start of their set wasn’t really my thing. Luckily, in the mean time, Prins Thomas was playing the house down. A couple of minutes after he kicked the tempo down—it seemed a bit early for that, mind you—I went back downstairs, where Layo had taken over from Bushwacka!—or the other way around, beats me—and I definitely liked his somewhat more energetic style better. Finally, I enjoyed the first half hour of Sasse’s set, which was allright, but I decided to call it a night anyway. All in all, definitely a nice evening.
