Maybe it’s a bit over the top, but while I was getting a ZM-MC1 in order to connect an additional ZM-F1, I decided to replace the classic Optical Wheel Mouse I’ve only had for a couple of months with an RX1000. I would have used the warranty if I knew where the hell I put the paperwork, but anyway, it was pretty cheap—and consequently dreadful—and it couldn’t hurt to have another mouse lying around. I say “cheap” but, actually, the RX1000 costs only €5 more. And yet, my first experiences with it are satisfactory. Laser mice are definitely nicer—though I’m sure the more expensive optical ones are fine too, but they’re hella ugly.
Incidentally, the reason why I had to get the ZM-MC1 separately in the first place was because MPL decided to leave it out of my order without any notification. Needless to say, I was thrilled, since the only reason why I ordered with them was because I wanted to avoid the hassle of finding a connector like that—4-pin to 2 × 3-pin. I could’ve done without the damn €10 shipping cost and the fucking 2-week wait. So, take my advice, don’t order anything from MPL. Ever.
