Tip of the day: Get a Logitech RX1000 laser mouse—or something equivalent, but I really like mine—, fire up the bundled SetPoint software and assign the tiny One Touch Search button—or whatever you like to call button #4—to Maximize. It may sound trivial, but it saves me a hell of a lot of moving to windows’ Maximize button, plus you can toggle between regular and maximized state without moving the mouse. Let’s face it, it’s a lot more useful than crazy-ass zoom or search functions, and if the button is there anyway, you might as well use it. Personally, this is where I draw the line. Four mouse buttons is all my puny brain can cope with.
