An Inconvenient Truth

I just changed my feeds a bit. They now list the 10 latest entries—i.e. blog posts, comments or linkbacks—instead of whatever number of entries falls within a given time period.

The downside of this is that, in the event of an inundation of comments or linkbacks, subscribers with a long interval between two checks will miss out on one or more entries. I’m not sure which solution is better in the long run.

Also, I do apologize if you got some duplicate entries. I changed the scheme of both post URLs and IDs, so your feed reader might not realize it’s actually the same entry that popped up again.

Update: Actually, that was a dumb idea. We’re officially back to recent entries.
