What Happens in March, Stays in March
Instead of standing idly by as this blog goes to waste, I’ve decided to do a roundup of various tidbits. I’ll leave it up to the reader to decide which of them, if any, are at all significant. Anyway, most of this stuff is out in the open already, since you’re all on Facebook all day long.
One. My laptop’s backlight has been broken for a while. That is to say, there’s a loose wire, which makes the backlight dim if I open it further than 90 degrees. So I ordered a Lenovo ThinkPad X300, which should be arriving on Monday. Personally, I wouldn’t compare it to the MacBook Air, but, needless to say, I’m convinced it’s a far better machine.
Two. Medically speaking, March hasn’t been the greatest. I went from the flu to a sore throat, and just as I thought I’d be able to get some work done, I got a tooth abscess. So now I’ve got wisdom tooth extraction to look forward to. I’m sure it’ll be a hoot.
Three. I got a Wii. I’d been planning to for ages, and when iBOOD had one at just €200, I finally made the plunge. So far, my medical status has often kept me from gaming, but Wii Sports and Wii Play certainly are fun. Mario Kart Wii should also be arriving soon. Anyone up for a game?
Four. It’s safe to say my parents are prepared for retirement. Since they had a new kitchen installed, they’ve been going crazy with cooking equipment. Food processor, bread maker, ice cream maker—you name it, we’ve got it. Unfortunately, if you ask me, the bread tastes ghastly. The ice cream’s alright, but I can’t tell the difference from store-bought, which is presumably cheaper. I guess I’ll understand when I’m old(er).
Five. Oh, and I wear glasses now. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, since my vision has been terrible for years. Plus, you all saw the Facebook pic.
Coming soon: coherence. And the questioning of your sexuality.
